This weekend's UFC edition has everything to be one of the best of the year, as great fighters will rise to the Octagon. We will have as main fights two belt defenses. At the men's lightweight, Oliveira, better known as Charles “do Bronx”, seeks to maintain the hegemony of the category, facing Dustin Poirier. They are currently among the best fighters of their weight. In the female bantamweight division, Brazilian legend Amanda Nunes will defend her title for the sixth time, this time against the American Julianna Peña.

Oliveira vs. Poirier

We can already believe that this will be a great fight, as both competitors like striking and go for the submission at all times. Oliveira's history, better known as Charles “do Bronx”, in the UFC is spectacular. After winning the belt, he reached 9 consecutive victories in the organization. His aggressive profile, seeking the submission, both in the fight on the ground and in the exchange of punches, makes him very comfortable to look for another triumph.

But the opponent is very tough. After the last three victories he has conquered, Dustin Poirier has been deserving this opportunity to be the owner of the lightweight belt. Two of the victories were against the controversial Conor McGregor, and the other was against Dan Hooker. The fighter is a black belt in jiu-jitsu and has a powerful punch. The victory is open for both sides, but we are going to rely on the experience of Brazilian Do Bronx to continue with the title.

Nunes vs Pena

“The Lioness” Amanda Nunes seems to be unstoppable in the UFC. She's racked up an incredible 12 wins in a row, and comes in for her sixth belt defense. There is no doubt about her favoritism, so much so that bookmakers place her as the total favorite to get the better of her, once again. The Brazilian is considered an MMA legend, as she owns bantamweight and featherweight belts.

However, Julianna Peña is going through a great phase and proves to be, at that moment, one of the most dangerous challengers for Amanda. She is among the top 3 in the category and is not a fighter trapped in a specialization type. She adapts well to fights, so much so that she has already defeated her rivals in different ways.

As Nunes' odd is very low, given her favoritism, and knowing her winning record, we'll bet that the Lioness will defeat her opponent in the 1st round.

Kara-France vs Garbrandt

This fight is worth the flyweight belt, so they are two very agile and light fighters, who are looking to finish the fight quickly. Both Kai Kara-France, as the American Cody Garbrandt, have in their history fights won with great knockouts, and that must be how the two will seek to be the owner of the confrontation.

If both have qualities, and even similarities, it's important to see how the competitors' current stage is going. Kara-France has won 3 of the last 5 times he has climbed into the Octagon, and comes from a great victory, which gives him confidence for this new duel.

On the side of Garbrandt, we can say that the loss of the belt affected his results. Even after a few years, since then he hasn't been able to maintain his great record, losing fights that he hadn't lost until then. He arrives to rescue his confidence.
