Born on November 6, 1959, American Erik Seidel grew up in New York City, United States. On his journey, the poker pro, who now resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, has won eight World Series of Poker tournaments, receiving the respective bracelets from the championship, as well as having a title on the World Poker Tour. Still in his teens, Seidel became familiar with games through Backgammon. Subsequently, the American became a trader within the United States stock market. However, before all the notoriety, Seidel participated in his first major event in 1988. In the episode in question, Seidel took the runner-up in the World Series of Poker Main Event 88, second only to Johnny Chan. In 1999, Seidel again managed to be part of a final table in the World Series of Poker Main Event and ended his campaign in fourth place, being defeated by Noel Furlog.
 
However, in 1992 Seidel received his first WSOP bracelet and since then the player has accumulated eight bracelets, the most recent in 2007. Counting all the versions, Seidel managed to win in several modalities, such as Hold'em, Omaha and Deuce to Seven Draw. According to information, within the history of poker, only five players managed to win more than eight bracelets, namely: Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan, Johnny Mosse and Phil Ivey.
 
Among the highlights of Seidel's life, the player earned almost $ 1 million within the sixth season of the World Poker Tour. In the edition in question, Seidel won the 2008 WPT Foxwoods Poker Classic. Years later, in 2011, Seidel came close to winning another WPT, but the player ended up with the runner-up of the edition, at the Hollywood Open, and won the amount of US $ 155,103.
 
Within the European Poker Tour, Seidel was also highlighted. During the 2015 edition of the European Poker Tour Grand Final, the star took the € 2,015,000 trifle.
